Information Systems - IS Tech II - Remote

  • Provides hardware support for hospital remote locations in the DFW area, end user first and second tier onsite support, as well as second tier support for IS Technicians.
  • Responsibilities include maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting internal IS Helpdesk functions.
  • Tasks include hardware maintenance, preventative maintenance, analyzing hardware and software problems, documenting solutions, and problem tracking/escalation. 
After a training period in Decatur, the candidate will provide mobile clinic support all across the DFW area. 
  • Provide tier 1 and 2 onsite helpdesk support at remote locations and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
  • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IS helpdesk
  • Report issues as needed  for escalation
  • Follow preventative maintenance program for all assigned clinics
  • Install and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software for assigned clinics and new locations as needed
  • Assist Helpdesk in software upgrades
  • Punch down data/phone lines and test
  • Monitor Track IT system for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first-out based on priority
  • Lead and manage various IS helpdesk projects as required utilizing current project governance processes
  • Utilize problem management and change management processes as required.

  • Reports to IS Director or IS Helpdesk Supervisor (if appointed)
  • 1)  High school diploma or equivalent Preferred
  • 2)  3 year minimum in a help desk or IS supporting role 
  • 1)  A+ Certified 
  • 2)  Microsoft Certifications 
  • 3)  Comp TIA HIT 
  • 4)  Bachelor or Associates in related field

  • There is no anticipated risk of exposure to mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashed during the performance of the job. 
  • Universal precautions must be observed and protective devices worn by the employee when performing a task that is likely to cause exposure.
Employment standards include current requirements as determined by Federal, State, and Wise Health System policy.
