Information Systems - Citrix Administrator, Bridgeport

 Job Summary: 
  • Responsible for installing, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and support of Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp 7.x environments. Supporting Nutanix cluster with VMware and AHV at a hardware and software layer. 
  • Ensure optimal performance and capacity management of Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop environment. 
  • Participate in system architecture discussions in support of new designs and features.
  • Assist with documentation and perform application upgrades and maintenance patching.
  • Assist with specific projects for technical support, provide recommendations and handle L2/L3 support. 
  • Knowledge of Citrix StoreFront, Citrix Studio, Citrix Provisioning Services, and Citrix Netscalers (Publishing applications, building delivery groups & administering them).
  • Knowledge of XenDesktop\XenApp 7.x (building streamed and published apps via PVS and administering them).
  • Knowledge of Citrix plugins, agents, and receivers and skills to design, develop, maintain, architect and implement Citrix XenDesktop 7.x environments. 
  • Knowledge of RES One Workspace.
  • Ability to provide risk assessment, analysis, scalability, help with capacity planning calculations and industry trends for the Citrix infrastructure,
  • Capability to document and maintain designs presented to technical groups for review of Citrix environment; and Capacity to oversee, implement and conduct Citrix infrastructure upgrades as needed.
  • Aptitude to research, investigate and test technology changes and other events that impact the systems and the ability to design solutions based on physical and virtual environments.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Office 365.
  • Experience in helping to design highly available, cross data center solutions.
  • General knowledge of vCenter (cloning VMs, editing VM settings, monitoring alerts).
  • Experience managing Citrix access layer (Storefront, Netscaler Gateway).
  • Experience with Citrix reporting tools.

  • Reports to the Infrastructure Team Lead
 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1) Associate Degree in Computer Science
  • 2) 4 years Server/Network/Citrix administration role
  • 3) Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization (CCA-V)
 
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS and CERTIFICATIONS:
  • 1) Experience with RES One Workspace
  • 2) VMware 
  • 3) iGel
  • 4) Imprivata knowledge
  • 5) Knowledge of Window OS and Domains
  • 6) Experience with PowerShell
  • 7) Excellent Writing\Communication\Documentation Skills
  • 8) Microsoft, Server, OS, Hyper V, Office 365, Domains\Active Directory Certs
