Argyle ED - PRN CT Technologist, Ft. Worth

  • A CT technologist must be able to accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.
  • The tech must be able to transport and transfer patients, know the proper use of PACS and perform common clerical tasks. The technologist will be responsible for being on call as scheduled.
  • Performs laboratory care for patients of all age groups through the use of laboratory processes; maintains positive working relationships with staff and other departments to provide optimal quality outcomes within the framework of professional laboratory practice; perform waived and moderate complexity manual and automated testing; independently performs a wide variety of laboratory procedures in Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Immunology, and Coagulation; perform maintenance and troubleshooting for all laboratory instruments for optimal performance; perform appropriate patient identifiers while collecting and/or processing specimens for the laboratory; these responsibilities are met according to laboratory policies, JC, CLIA, and CAP regulations.
  • The technologist reports directly to the CT Supervisor.

  • 3) CPR 
Physical requirements:
  • Be able to transport/transfer patients on a daily basis.

Must have current licensure/certifications upon hire. 

New Hires will have 60 days to acquire the required Basic Life Support (CPR, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and/or any other life support certifications required for the job).
  • There is an occasional risk of exposure to mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashed during the performance of the job. 
  • Universal precautions must be observed and protective devices worn by the employee when performing a task that is likely to cause exposure.
Employment standards include current requirements as determined by Federal, State, and Wise Health System policy.
