Radiology - Surgical X-ray Technologist, Argyle FT, M-F, 6a-2:30p

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • The Radiologic Technologist performs a diverse range of diagnostic radiologic procedures.
  • The technologist is primarily responsible for the fluoroscopic x-ray procedures in the operating room as well as performing radiographic exams including portables, trauma, and outpatient services.
  • Competency of C-Arm equipment, fluoroscopy and sterile technique.
  • The technologist must be able to transport and transfer patients, know the proper use of PACS and perform common clerical tasks.
  • Among other duties as assigned.

REPORT RELATIONSHIP: 
  • The technologist reports directly to Argyle Manager.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1) Licensed by the Texas Department of Health   
  • 2) ARRT
  • 3) CPR
  • The technologist will be responsible for being on call as scheduled.
 
Must have current licensure/certifications upon hire. 

New Hires will have 60 days to acquire the required Basic Life Support (CPR, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and/or any other life support certifications required for the job).
 
OSHA TASK CATEGORY TWO: 
  • There is an occasional risk of exposure to mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashed during the performance of the job. 
  • Universal precautions must be observed and protective devices worn by the employee when performing a task that is likely to cause exposure.
 
Physical requirements:   
  • Be able to transport/transfer patients on a daily basis.
 
Employment standards include current requirements as determined by Federal, State, and Wise Health System policy.
