Therapy Services - OP Occupational Therapist Clinic Coordinator, Argyle Denton

 Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates OT services at specified clinic(s) under direction from Director of OT and Director of Outpatient Therapy Services. 
  • Coordinates/manages the marketing and implementation of all the OT services.  
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of various specialty programs to facilitate patient referrals, clinic growth and licensed staff specialization (CHT, lymphedema, LSVT, ect). 
  • Responsible for developing dynamic and effective plans of care by utilizing evidence-based practices, ensuring high quality of patient care and service, and increasing the scope of services delivered. 
  • Responsible for the overall direction, utilization, supervision, instruction, and evaluation of professional and supportive staff, volunteers and students. 
 
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
  • Director of Outpatient Therapy Services, Director of Occupational Therapy, VP of Rehabilitation Services
 
REQUIREMENTS: 
  • 1) Graduate of an accredited school of occupational therapy
  • 2) NBCOT certified
  • 3) TX State licensure
  • 4) 3-5 years of experience treating neurological/orthopedic upper extremity conditions
  • 5)  Preferred Specialty certification (CHT, CLT, or other)
  • 6) CPR
 
Must have current licensure/certifications upon hire. 

New Hires will have 60 days to acquire the required Basic Life Support (CPR, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and/or any other life support certifications required for the job).
 
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Prolonged physical activity ambulating within the clinic; dexterity, lifting/carrying, reaching, kneeling/sitting, pulling/pushing, vision, and hearing. 
 
OSHA TASK CATEGORY TWO: 
  • There is an occasional risk of exposure to mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashed during the performance of the job. 
  • Universal precautions must be observed and protective devices worn by the employee when performing a task that is likely to cause exposure.
 
Employment standards include current requirements as determined by Federal, State, and Wise Health System policy.
