QA - RN Quality Improvement Specialist Parkway Argyle

  • Assists with the development and implementation of QI and safety initiatives under the guidance of the director, and is responsible for monitoring clinical processes and initiatives.
  • Responsible for tracking and analyzing trends and outcome reports and advising management on areas for improvement. 
  • Use tools to display data/evaluate processes
  • Qualitative and quantitative data collection, management, analysis, and reporting. 
  • Assists in providing organizational quality improvement and patient safety training.
  • Assists in preparation of QA/UR/PI and Safety committee meetings.
  • Assumes other related responsibilities as required. 
Must have the following skill sets:
  • Proficiency with computers and various programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Microsoft Access databases.
  • A working knowledge of data analysis tools and statistical programs preferred.
  • Ability to interpret data to improve patient outcomes using appropriate mathematical tools.
  • Ability to meet changing conditions and utilize critical thinking skills to analyze and interpret data.
  • Ability to develop computerized presentations (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access, Visio); and Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Operationally, the RN Quality Improvement Specialist reports to the Director of Quality Improvement Analytics and Patient Safety
  • 1) Current Texas license to work as a Registered Nurse
  • 2) 3 years experience in Quality Improvement preferred.  
Must have current RN licensure upon hire. 
  • There is no anticipated risk of exposure to mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashed during the performance of the job. 
  • Universal precautions must be observed and protective devices worn by the employee when performing a task that is likely to cause exposure.
Employment standards include current requirements as determined by Federal, State, and Wise Health System policy.
