Information Systems - Jr Systems Administrator, Bridgeport

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: 
1). Responsible for assisting the Infrastructure Team in the day to day operations of the Data Center, as well as other operations pertaining to access and computer functions.
2). Will help organize, install, and support server infrastructure and server setup and maintenance as directed by the Infrastructure Team Lead while supporting Help Desk and Analyst teams as needed.
 
  • Maintain server environment including, but not all inclusive, VMware, Nutanix, Citrix, RESONE, Symantec, Solar Winds, Unitrends backup appliance, standalone servers.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve system hardware, software and networking issues
  • Maintain application\operating system software, patches, and upgrades
  • Maintains Enterprise Active Directory
  • Works with vendors to assist with support activities
  • Ensures that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained
  • Perform data backups of various systems, performs disaster recovery operations and testing quarterly
  • Assist with implementing network security measures in order to protect data, software and hardware in conjunction with the Security Officer or delegate
  • Assist with routine server maintenance
  • Recommends changes to improve systems and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes
  • Gather data pertaining to customer needs and use the information to identify, predict, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements
  • Research new technology and implement it or recommend its implementation
  • Other duties as require
  • On call (rotation) as required
 
REPORT RELATIONSHIP: 
  • Reports to the Infrastructure Team Lead 
 
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: 
  • 1) 1-2 years Server/Network Administration role
 
Work Performance knowledge requirements: 
  • 1) Knowledge of Active Directory environment
  • 2) Knowledge of Exchange, Symantec, and Citrix
  • 3) Knowledge of virtualization technologies
 
Employment standards include current requirements as determined by Federal, State, and Wise Health System policy.
 
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: 
  • 1) Microsoft\Citrix\VMware certifications   
  • 2) Associates or equivalent experience
  • 3) Knowledge of PowerShell

  • There is no anticipated risk of exposure to mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashed during the performance of the job.
