Provides second tier support for IS Technicians. Responsibilities include maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and supporting internal IS Helpdesk functions. Tasks include PC image creation and maintenance, maintaining helpdesk tracking software, analyzing hardware and software problems, documenting solutions, and problem tracking/escalation.
  • Provide tier 2 helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction
  • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IS helpdesk
  • Report issues as needed  for escalation
  • Maintain/Create PC software images
  • Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software
  • Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required
  • BMC Track IT Software Administrator for helpdesk
  • Creates and maintains solution documentation in Track IT database
  • Monitor Track IT system for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first-out based on priority
  • Provides input and maintains current approved hardware bundles
  • Mentors IS technicians
  • Provides work direction, problem resolution, and training to other technical support personnel
  • Lead and manage various IS helpdesk projects as required utilizing current project governance processes
  • Utilize problem management and change management processes as required.
  • On Call support as required
  • Other duties as required                                                                                     
  • Reports to IS Director or IS Helpdesk Supervisor (if appointed)
  • 1)  High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2)  3 year minimum in a help desk or IS supporting role
  • 1)  A+ Certified 
  • 2)  Microsoft Certifications 
  • 3)  Comp TIA HIT 
  • 4)  Bachelor or Associates in related field

  • There is no anticipated risk of exposure to mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashed during the performance of the job. 
  • Universal precautions must be observed and protective devices worn by the employee when performing a task that is likely to cause exposure.
