Information Systems - Senior Project Manager, Bridgeport

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) is responsible for managing or overseeing enterprise projects, typically strategic, of large budget or sizeable project teams. 
The Sr. PM focus is on meeting project commitments (on time, on budget, meeting scope), including communications with sponsors, stakeholders, etc. 
The Sr. PM leads the design, testing, planning, and implementation phases of complex projects for systems that typically affect many users. 

These responsibilities include:
  • the development and implementation of a broad, coordinated set of plans and programs to meet the goals and priorities of project sponsors
  • Demonstrate superior collaboration skills and techniques which appropriately define alternate solutions
  • Resolve conflicts
  • Create lasting, productive partnerships with sponsors
  • Exhibit a credible executive image when strategically communicating project information
  • Manage budget, project schedule, and project goals
  • Cultivate contacts with vendor requirements planners and/or developers in order to obtain information to support project activities
  • Regularly makes decisions and takes independent action on matters directly affecting strategic goals
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
 
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: 
  • Reports to the Director of Project Management Office
 
REQUIREMENTS:  
  • 1) PMP Certification or equivalent;
  • 2) 5 years of project management experience;
  • 3) Bachelor of Science or 2 years toward BS plus an additional 4 years of project management experience
  • 4)  4 years of healthcare experience (preferred)
 
Employment standards include current requirements as determined by Federal, State, and Wise Health System policy.

  • There is no anticipated risk of exposure to mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splash during the performance of the job. 
  • Universal precautions must be observed and protective devices worn by the employee when performing a task that is likely to cause exposure.
