Surgery-Surgery Turnover Technician-Argyle

  • The Surgery Turnover Technician cleans the operating rooms between cases and terminally cleans at the end of the day.
  • Cleans equipment other areas within the surgery unit.  
  • The turnover tech transports surgical patients and specimens when needed.  
  • Able to work independently and good communication skills.
  • The Turnover Tech is under the direct supervision of the Surgery Team Leader/Charge Nurse for general responsibilities.
  • Administratively the Turnover Tech under the Manager of Surgery and CCO.
  •  1) HS graduate or equivalent preferred
  • 2) Previous hospital experience preferred
  • 3) BLS certification, new hires will have 60 days from date of hire to obtain BLS certification
  • Must be able to lift 10-30 pounds daily

  • There is an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills splashes during the performance of the job.
  • Universal precautions must be observed and protective devices worn by the employee when performing those tasks likely to cause exposure.
