Information Systems - Business Applications Analyst, Bridgeport

Job Summary:  The Business Applications Analyst develops, maintains, and optimizes all assigned revenue cycle & business software solutions. This role is responsible for testing, installation, and supporting computer applications, procedures, and other systems that support Wise Health System’s business & clinical initiatives. The Business Applications Analyst Serves as a liaison between end-users, project team members, and other IS resources while providing exemplary customer service and application support and development for all assigned business healthcare IT systems.
  • Work under the direction of the Manager of Business Applications to provide application solutions for assigned business areas
  • Performs modification of applications as needed to meet business and clinical requirements
  • Interact with business users to understand new business requirements and enhancement requests
  • Maintains a high level of interaction with all revenue cycle areas to continually enhance/improve all aspects of patient care and reimbursement
  • Serve liaison role between application technology vendors, internal IS groups, and business users
  • Responds to and resolves service desk tickets and end user requests.
  • Take complete ownership for the assigned task and timely inform the progress of the project / task to all stakeholders, escalating when necessary
  • Document issues with resolutions and share with team members to improve team productivity
  • Take initiative and drives to bring to logical conclusion; proactive approach, including continual improvement of knowledge of supported systems
  • Communication and documentation of all relevant items and activities, including actively participating in meetings and making valuable contributions
  • Provides after hour and weekend support as needed; Remains on call as requested. Other duties as assigned.
Reporting Relationship:
  • Operational: Director of Enterprise Solutions, Functional: Manager of Clinical Applications
 
Requirements:
  • 1) 2 years recent experience in a health care setting
  • 2) Basic computer skills
  • 3) Project management experience preferred
  • 4) Experience in implementing, supporting and training for healthcare IT applications preferred

  • There is no anticipated risk of exposure to mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashed during the performance of the job. 
  • Universal precautions must be observed and protective devices worn by the employee when performing a task that is likely to cause exposure.
