Nutritional Services: Cook/Dietary Aid, East Campus Decatur, M-F w/alternating weekends

JOB SUMMARY:
  • Performs a variety of food services including preparing and serving food to employees and visitors.
  • Also responsible for stocking the food preparation areas and the cafeteria and subsequent clean-up. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. 
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
  • Director of Nutrition Services
 
REQUIREMENTS: 
1)  High school graduate or equivalent preferred. 
2)   Six months’ healthcare or restaurant foodservice experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Ability to tolerate long periods of standing or walking. 
  • Ability to tolerate wide temperature variations based on cooking or food prep location.
 
OSHA TASK CATEGORY THREE:
  •  There is no anticipated risk of exposure to mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashed during the performance of the job.
  •  Universal precautions must be observed and protective devices worn by the employee when performing a task that is likely to cause exposure.
 
Employment standards include current requirements as determined by Federal, State, and Wise Regional policy
