Dialysis Staff Resident, Decatur

Job Summary:  
  • Under the guidance of the Nurse Residency Manager, perform nursing patient care duties for the assigned unit or department under the direction of a Clinical Coordinator and/or Nursing Unit Director.
  • Participate in learning activities, classroom lectures, etc. provided through the Wise Health System Nurse Residency program.
  • Plan, provide, and evaluate total nursing care in accordance with the established patient care philosophy.
  • Facilitate individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Relate effectively with other shifts for continuity of care, maintain satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing units; and participate in all phases of education.

Reporting Relationship: 
  • Designated Supervisor
  • 1)  Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing 
  • 2)  Current Texas RN licensure 
  • 3)  CPR 
  • There is an inherent potential for mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills splashes during the performance of the job. 
  • Universal precautions must be observed and protective devices worn by the employee when performing those tasks likely to cause exposure.
