Information Systems - NP Physician Informaticist

Job Summary:  
  • In collaboration with senior leadership and information systems team, provides leadership, strategic direction and oversight for information systems and management initiatives.
  • Provides physician workflow transformation guidance, workflow change management direction, and identifies information gaps in existing clinical processes as they relate to implementation and optimization of electronic medical record systems.
  • Guides the adoption and evaluation activities for physicians to identify non-standard or non-compliant workflows. Collaborates with the local leadership and physician leadership to enhance the training experience.
  • Provides ongoing electronic medical record application upgrades or new feature training to all providers.
  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, developing and maintaining data and analytic capabilities that provide functional insights and support for decision making throughout the organization.
  • Oversees the nursing informatics team.
  • Provides after hour and weekend support as needed; Remains on call as requested and perform other duties as assigned. 
  • Basic computer skills.


Reporting Relationship:  Director of Applications


Requirements:
  • 1) 5 years of direct patient care
  • 2) Preferred current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant 
  • 3) Direct experience with CPOE and EMR utilization
  • 4) Experience with Allscripts EMR Preferred  
  • 5) Experience in implementing , supporting and training for applications preferred.

**Must have current licensure/certifications upon hire.  **

**New Hires will have 60 days to acquire the required Basic Life Support (CPR, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and/or any other life support certifications required for the job.**
